about me—

I strive to create a safe space for ALL that encourages the perfectly imperfect, & real, genuine emotion and connection.
Hi there! I’m Larissa.
Hippie soul based in SoCal
My approach to Photography has always been a candid one. I prefer more creative documentary as opposed to basic coverage. Anyone can do basic coverage. I want your images to make you remember the moment, the feeling; in all its glory. (But don’t get me wrong- I’m a sucker for a good posed editorial or portrait here and there!) I truly live to capture those fleeting, real life moments that can’t be repeated, but can be relived over and over again through photographs.
You’ll find me sippin’ green tea lattes, chasing golden light, admiring vintage fashion, watching Audrey Hepburn films, chillin with my cat Stevie Nicks, hiking, or capturing all the beautiful souls & all the wonderful things.
The Inspiration
Vintage cinema, golden hazy light, blue hour, books and records, handprinted letters, nature, the ocean, music and art. I want my work to reflect all the things in life that inspire us, that make us feel. I personally get a lot of my inspiration for my work from movies like La La Land, Funny Face, Pulp Fiction, Wes Anderson films, etc. I look for art in everything around me, the people, the crowds, the nature and humanity. How can we create art or how can we make it art? How can we step out of the box or how can we make this ordinary moment a masterpiece? I’m inspired by the little challenges. Old cinema is one of my favorite things to watch when i’m in a creative rut because there is something so beautiful about anything shot on film, it’ll always remind me of the way we remember or see our dreams; hazy, a little golden & soft. So a lot of my work will mirror that as well.

Let’s adventure, step out of your comfort zone,
and allow me to capture the best of you.
With love, Larissa
